About Us

We're building The Grid is Hampton Cove’s quirkiest community hangout—part food truck park, part art installation, part front porch for the whole neighborhood.

The Origin Story

In 2019, Russ Dunford envisioned a vibrant community hub in Hampton Cove. Armed with an empty lot and a few shipping containers, the project began as a COVID-era safe gathering space. From those humble beginnings the property is blossoming into a unique destination that celebrates food, comunity, and creativity.

The Name

Drawn from the iconic grid paper utilized by Huntsville's engineers, the name symbolizes innovation.

Unique Attractions

From a 1961 British Double Decker bus, to a vintage train car, and repurposed airplane parts. Every feature tells a story.

Commissary

We built the first permitted commissary in the Cove, to support exciting new culinary initiatives in our neighborhood.

Family Fun

With on-site dining, a bustling farmers' market, and live music events that fill the air with energy, there's something for everyone.
